Appaloosa Acres barn

Appaloosa Acres was established in 2005 with potential as a show, boarding or rescue barn but primarily to function, at that time, as a rehab facility for Titan, our retired Belgian hunt horse who had contracted resistant canker. Titan, an incredible Herd Leader, was co-owned with John Gray who was in residence at the farm for many years. Sharing the newly established farm with Titan was Buck, our appaloosa, who is still in residence and for whom the farm is named.

We lost our beloved Titan on December 17th 2018 to what was apparently a massive heart attack. At near 30 years of age (exact age unknown), he went quickly and without struggle and was buried at his home - Appaloosa Acres - with his family of horses, his owners Lynda and John, and his resident caretakers Richard and Barbara Marsh in attendance.

He and Buck were the initial reason behind the farm and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Appaloosa Acres offers clinics, small shows, educational seminars and special events periodically as well as riding instruction. Our wonderfully positive and well-qualified instructor in Western or English riding stresses the Basics of safe riding from Beginner to Advanced. Carol is especially good with young riders and insecure riders.

Boarding is offered on a VERY limited basis
